How long have you worked at Microban?
I have worked for Microban for around 4 months this time around but I worked for Microban previously for 5 years (2014-2019). I came back to Microban because I have a lot of history with the team/company, Microban is truly a wonderful place to work and provides many opportunities for growth.
What 3 traits define you?
The three traits that define me are humility, sincerity, and generosity; these traits were instilled in me growing up and to this day I live by them. By remaining humble, I can focus on the things that really matter, like helping others in the community. If you know me personally, you will know that I enjoy sincere conversations with the occasional interjection of humor. I love to encourage others to give freely because the best gift is the gift of giving!
What is one interesting fact about you that people would be surprised to learn?
I used to have dyed dreadlocks in college! That item has officially been checked off my to-do list.
Where is the best place you have traveled to and why?
The best place I have traveled to would be Traverse City, Michigan. Traverse City and the surrounding area are quite amazing, bringing together the beach life, mountainous terrain, and loads of outdoor activities like fishing.
How do you define success?
I define success as the ability to do your best, no matter the size or task at hand. Success isn't defined by how many times you are knocked down, but by how many times you get back up.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to learn how to fly a plane, that way I could fly myself anywhere I wanted to go. The fascination started way back when I watched "Wild America" for the first time. "Tell me about the clouds... you slice through them like butter and pop out the other side. All you got is the bluest sky you can think of."
What three words would you use to describe Microban International?
Energetic, environmentally conscious, and customer/consumer-driven. Microban International is a place where people can dream and release their creative minds while understanding real-world applicability to provide a cleaner, brighter future.
What is your favorite thing about working in the antimicrobial industry?
My favorite thing about working in the world of antimicrobial technology is that I get to see how everyday consumer products are supercharged with antimicrobial properties that reduce bioburden and elongate their freshness. Similarly, my favorite thing is to speak with actual consumers of these everyday products to see how it has helped improve their lives, it always brings a smile to my face.
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be?
If I could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, it would have to be Rocky Marciano. I am named after Marciano, and I would love to hear about his journey to becoming the only undefeated world heavyweight boxing champion.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
No questions asked... SUSHI! As it is now, I eat it at least once a week so every meal wouldn't be too much of a stretch!
