HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (July 14, 2016) – Leading up to the global relaunch of its textiles division, Microban® International Ltd., the global leader in textile odor control and prevention, will showcase its Scentry® odor capture technology with a #YouDontStink “Fresh Bar” at booth #250-109 at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. Microban’s “Fresh Experts” will guide attendees through a sniff test comparing untreated footwear and apparel fabric products with fabric treated with Microban’s Scentry odor capture. Guests participating in the “Fresh Bar” will be treated to a fresh, made-to-order salad from 11:30AM to 1:30PM, while supplies last on days one and two.
“The ‘Fresh Bar’ brings our technology to life and we can have a little fun,” said Lisa Owen, senior business director, global textiles for Microban. “It is easy to talk about technology but much better when the experience is front and center – especially when it benefits consumers actively engaged in outdoor activities. As we prepare to relaunch the global textiles division internationally, the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market is the first major industry event where we will share our new messaging that includes a completely new booth, an interactive experience, our expanded team and a preview of our new marketing tools. We look forward to becoming more engaged with this important community.”
In addition to the #YouDontStink “Fresh Bar”, Microban will host a second experiential initiative with its brand partner, Rogers Corporation. Microban will give away PORON® Comfort Insoles throughout the show, while supplies last. Infused with Microban technology for control odor, PORON Materials are designed into many shoes to enhance comfort and performance. Attendees may compare footwear insoles treated with Microban’s technologies against their own untreated insoles
